It's true - today I launched two new books!
To be fair, one is a republish. Once again, I've changed my mind about the first book in the Ember Enigma series. Back in August, I thought The Mole of Moscow was a good title. But after some reflection, I've realised that It's Raining in Moscow and I Forgot my Umbrella is far more entertaining!
Why the change? A lovely reader in America told me that whenever he calls his son, he starts the conversation with, "It's Raining in Moscow", and his son has to complete the sentence. How could I resist returning to the original title? Plus, the previous cover didn’t quite match the story’s spirit - it was too dull and sinister for a book meant to be joyous. After all, it's Billy and Manya’s first adventure!
Here’s the new cover - I like it - do you?
Even more exciting? The sequel, which has taken me three years to perfect, is finally here! I originally gave it the title The Fox of Sevastopol, but it’s now called If I Got Fifty Quid I Could Rescue My Dad - again, more exciting and hopefully intriguing. It's supposed to capture the high-stakes adventure and Billy’s cheeky charm. Click here to see the cover!
This new adventure takes readers deeper into the Ember Enigma world. Billy is on his boldest mission yet, with only his wits, and a whole lot of courage standing between him and his dad’s rescue. Oh yes, and he needs fifty quid! Expect daring escapes, unexpected twists, and heartwarming moments with Gran, Frank, and the rest of the team on the dementia floor at Autumn Days.
Perfect for fans of...
Gripping adventures with laugh-out-loud moments.
Teen heroes who are brave, funny, and relatable.
Stories that mix humour, heart, and plenty of action!
Want to know what happens next? If I Got Fifty Quid I Could Rescue My Dad is available now on Amazon. Be among the first to read it (and maybe even give it as a Christmas gift!)
And guess what? There’s a third book to share with you soon... Stay tuned for all the details in my next blog!
Best wishes,
Caroline
PS: Joe - will you start your conversations with "If I got fifty quid...." now? :)
