It’s time!
The winners of the Crazy Creatives Short Story Competition have been chosen, and I can honestly say it was one of the hardest—and most joyful—things I’ve ever had to do.
These young writers (aged 9–14!) brought everything to the page: action, emotion, humour, plot twists I did not see coming… and titles that would give any seasoned author a run for their money.
The winning stories—and many others—will be appearing in our soon-to-be-published paperback: Short Stories of Courage 2025 available on Amazon soon.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL!
It's been a true labour of love: editing each piece with care, gently formatting to bring out the personality of every story, and creating stunning illustrations (with the use of AI) to add that final sparkle. These young writers are about to see their names in print—and I couldn’t be prouder.
If your story wasn’t chosen this time, please don’t be disheartened. Every single entry showed imagination, creativity, and courage—and I was truly impressed by the effort you put in. Remember, every great writer starts somewhere, and sometimes the stories that don’t win are the ones that grow into something even bigger later on. Keep writing, keep dreaming, and keep believing in your voice. I'm so proud of you for entering—and I can’t wait to see what you write next!
Next time, I’ll let you know where to grab a copy of the book (and give a gentle nudge towards my own books too…😉), but for now, join me in cheering on this brilliant bunch of new authors.
Thanks for being the kind of person who values creativity, encouragement, and big ideas from young people.
Best wishes,
Caroline
