Council Funding for Your School

Now, this is an exciting post so read carefully:
I've been securing Council Funding for local schools!
It all began when I joined the NW London branch of the Federation of Children's Book Groups (FCBG) back in April.
It was a real eye-opener to see how the current curriculum is sadly lacking in creative writing and reading for pleasure. Not to mention the fact that schools have no funding for new materials.
It got me thinking...
I'm an author and a teacher - I know how these things work, and I know how to make reading and writing fun. I could provide TEN WEEKS of brilliant, innovative and inspiring sessions to encourage children to read and write creatively.
What if lovely local councillors used some of their discretionary funds to help schools?
It's a total no-brainer that makes everyone happy:
The councillor is happy to provide funds to a worthy cause with zero effort.
Schools are happy to receive a massive freebie.
Teachers are happy to have ten weeks of scrupulously researched and beautifully presented books, workbooks and teacher guides where there is ZERO PREP and ZERO MARKING.
Pupils are thrilled to finally be given the chance to release their creativity and have fun at the same time.
What is there not to like?
So far, in just a few weeks, I've secured council funding for six schools - it's a brilliant solution to an - up until now - baffling conundrum.
Want to bring this to your school?
