Yesterday I received a very exciting email!
In December I entered It’s Raining in Moscow and I Forgot my Umbrella into a rather exciting looking competition for self-published authors. It was called “The Selfies Book Awards UK, powered by BookBrunch.
“Sponsored by IngramSpark® and supported by The London Book Fair and Nielsen Book, these awards recognise the authors who self-publish their own work, one of the fastest growing parts of the book market.”
Below is part of the email, but before you read it, I wanted to thank everyone who has supported me and kept me going with their encouraging comments. That includes all of you who have subscribed to my blog, the people who have read my book, and especially those who have left lovely reviews on Amazon.
I am so grateful to you all. Please keep your fingers crossed for me for 20th April! 😊
Here is part of the email I received:
Dear Caroline,
Thank you so much for putting forward your children’s book for consideration for the 2021 Selfies Book Awards; we were hugely impressed with the high standard of the many self-published titles that were submitted this year.
I’m delighted to say that the preliminary judging panel have selected It’s Raining in Moscow and I Forgot My Umbrella as one of the eight shortlisted titles in this category.
The winners of all three categories will be announced at the virtual event to be held at 4.30 on Tuesday, 20th April.
Many congratulations again, and we look forward to seeing you on the 20th April.
Best wishes
The Selfies Book Awards team
